How should I review the reasons for an O-1 denial?

Collect the original petition, RFE or NOID, response and denial decision. Record what USCIS accepted, what it did not accept and the reasons given. Assess whether the issues concern missing evidence, reasoning, eligibility or procedure. Separate personal assumptions from the formal decision. Have counsel check any remedy within the applicable deadlines.
